The Company:

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Plate Rolling Machine Operative to join the team in the busy metal processing department of our Heysham manufacturing and assembly facility.

We’re looking for a hard-working individual able to keep up with our fast-paced work environment, with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team. Flexibility is a key requirement. Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Some heavy lifting will be required.

Key Equipment:

Davi Plate rollers (primary focus)
Bystronic Fibre laser cutter
Bystronic press brake
Transfluid tube bender
Webber Linisher
Guillotine

Responsibilities:

Operate the plate rolling machine to form cylindrical and conical shapes from steel plate according to specifications.
Set up and adjust roller parameters (pinch, pyramid, or initial pinch) for different material thicknesses and diameters.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and maintain a clean workspace.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Ability to handle heavy lifting and materials safely.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations (including circumference and diameter relationships).
Experience with hand tools.
Positive, self-motivated attitude.
