About the Role

We are looking for a caring, committed SEND Support Nursery Practitioner to work closely with one of our pupils, supporting him through imaginative, meaningful and interest-led learning experiences. You will follow his lead in play, nurture his confidence and independence, and ensure he feels fully included in all aspects of nursery life.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and creative early years professional, with the ability to engage children through playful learning. You will bring high standards, a positive attitude and relevant experience within the EYFS and SEN.

Key Responsibilities

Work 1:1 with the child, extending learning in an engaging and responsive way
Liaise daily with the child’s Key Worker and communicate with parents
Support the development of the child’s independent skills in line with his EHCP
Observe, assess and record progress
Ensure he is fully included with peers at all times, including during snacks and mealtimes
Offer choices consistently to promote independence and confidence

Requirements

Early Years experience – Essential
Experience supporting children with SEN – Essential
Warm, nurturing and patient approach
Ability to create engaging, child-centred learning opportunities
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
