Visiting Estate Manager (25 hours per week)
Cuckfield, West Sussex

Our not-for-profit organisation has a great opportunity for you at this attractive, independent living, retirement development in Cuckfield, comprising 30 units, requires a responsive, competent and hands-on Estate Manager to oversee the day to day running of the estate and ensure it is maintained to a high standard. Responsible for managing regular building maintenance, supervision of contractors and regular health and safety checks, this role is essential to ensure the well-being of the residents.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-2:00pm, 25 hours per week

Salary: £18,720 per annum (FTE £26,208)

The role of Estate manager is subject to a DBS check. Suitable candidates will be invited for a tour of the estate, following this, if the Area Manager thinks you would be a good fit for the role, there will be an IT assessment and formal interview

Requirements:

1 years’ property management experience
Excellent time-management skills
Adaptable with a willingness to learn
A positive, welcoming attitude and good communication skills
You care about people and take a genuine interest in making a difference to their everyday lives
Proficiency in basic IT skills is required, with basic ‘handyman’ skills and an interest in gardening
This role will suit someone who has had previous experience in building or property maintenance; you will be able to work in a proactive manner and find solutions

Responsibilities:

Manage the day to day running of the estate
Managing regular building maintenance and supervision of contractors
Cleaning of the communal areas on the estate
Monitoring health and safety compliance and ensuring the buildings and grounds maintain their high standard this role is essential to providing an enviable place to live
Professional, friendly and hands on approach to the management of your development
You will be customer focused and possess excellent communication skills
