Full job description

We are looking for a Part-Time Shop Assistant to join the team here at Mr Riley’s Tropical Food! Please confirm which days you are available to work.

About us:

We specialise in providing Afro-Caribbean products to our local community which includes food, alcohol, drinks, hair & beauty, household items & much more! You can view more of what we do here: www.rileystropicalfood.co.uk

We have two locations which we expect our team to be able to commute to as and when they are scheduled in for a shift.

Location 1: Luton Indoor Market, The Mall, LU1 2TA (hours are 9:00am til 5:30pm)

Location 2: 8 Sundon Park Road, LU3 3BH (hours are 9:00am til 5:30pm)

You must:

- Live in Luton or live locally

- Have flexible availability

- Be reliable & a team player

What is the Role?

As a shop assistant, you will:

- Stock shelves & face up to ensure all is well-presented at all times

- Operate an EPOS til and handle cash accurately

- Maintain Shop Standards e.g. cleaning shelves, counters, floors etc

- Handle & prepare fresh produce e.g. cutting yams

- Provide great customer service

- Carry out ad hoc duties related to the job role

What do we look for?

We look for pro-active individuals who aren’t shy to get stuck in! You must have great customer service, attention to detail and an overall positive working attitude.

Full training is provided from a very supportive and helpful team. Self-employed/freelance workers preferred, not essential.

Casual & comfortable dress code. Apron/Uniform provided.

Pay: £60.40-£80.00 per day
