Job Title: Night Receptionist

Location: The Coal Exchange Hotel, Cardiff
Salary: £12.71 per hour

About Us:
The Coal Exchange Hotel is a welcoming and historic hotel committed to providing an exceptional experience for all our guests. We are looking for a reliable and professional Night Receptionist to manage our front desk and lobby bar during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and check-in late-arriving guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Handle check-outs and payments for early-departing guests.
Operate and manage the lobby bar, including serving drinks, maintaining stock, and ensuring cleanliness.
Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints during night hours.
Monitor the hotel premises for security and safety, reporting any issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of guest information, bar transactions, and overnight activity logs.
Assist with reservations, phone calls, and messages outside normal reception hours.
Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Perform basic administrative duties as required.

Person Specification:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Calm, professional, and approachable during night shifts.
Experience serving drinks and managing a bar is desirable.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred.
Basic IT skills, including using booking systems and Microsoft Office.
