Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Structured Cabling Engineer to join our growing team in Glasgow. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects across commercial and industrial environments.

About the Role

As a Structured Cabling Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems. You will work closely with project teams and clients to ensure high-quality delivery and successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys and assess cabling requirements
Install, terminate, label, and test copper and fibre cabling systems
Design and implement structured cabling layouts
Diagnose and resolve cabling and connectivity issues
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing network infrastructure
Complete testing, certification, and documentation of installed systems
Provide technical support and excellent customer service to clients
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations

RequirementsEssential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance
Strong technical support and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working in a variety of on-site environments
Valid CSCS or ECS Card (essential)

Desirable Qualifications

Industry-recognized structured cabling certifications
Experience with copper and fibre optic cabling systems
Network infrastructure testing and certification experience
