Job Summary
Park Parade Pharmacy is a newly established independent community pharmacy based in Havant, Hampshire. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our growing team as a Dispenser or Accuracy Checking Dispenser.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new venture where your expertise and commitment can make a real difference. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care, supporting the health and wellbeing of our local community, and contributing to the development of a forward-thinking independent pharmacy.

Duties

Accurately and efficiently dispense prescribed medications to patients and healthcare providers.
Verify the accuracy and clinical appropriateness of medication orders and prescriptions.
Prepare, package, and label medications for distribution.
Ensure all medications are stored and secured under appropriate conditions.
Provide patient counselling and advice on over-the-counter medicines.
Collaborate with local GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care.
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient information.

Skills

Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing.
Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors
Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating professionalism and empathy
Good communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members
Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with pharmacy management software is advantageous

Requirement

Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
