Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting pharmacy operations, and assisting with medication distribution. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive accurate information and timely assistance in a professional environment. Previous experience in pharmacy settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

Greet customers courteously and assist with their enquiries at the pharmacy counter
Dispense over-the-counter medications and provide guidance on their proper use
Support pharmacy technicians with medication organisation and inventory management
Assist with patient care activities, including basic medication administration under supervision
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and maintained in accordance with regulatory standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy area to ensure a safe environment
Provide information on pharmacy services, health products, and general health advice where appropriate

Experience

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of medication administration processes is beneficial
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service excellence
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Organised, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality
