Full job description

Overview
We are seeking skilled Mig Welder/Fabricators to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with a focus on producing high-quality metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical skills . Candidates should be committed to safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects of their work.

Duties

Perform Mig welding, and other welding techniques to produce accurate and strong welds on various metal components.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during the manufacturing process.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Conduct routine inspections of completed work for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Mig welding
Knowledge of welding standards and practices.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations essential for fabrication tasks.
Experience working with sheet metal materials is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in production tasks.

This role is suitable for candidates eager to develop their skills further within a professional manufacturing environment while contributing to high-quality fabrication projects.

Starting salary approx £33,488 per year (£14.00 p/h) depending on level of skill & experience.

Shift:

Monday to Thursday - 6.00am to 6.00pm (46.00 hours per week).
