We're hiring a Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Birmingham, and we want someone who actually enjoys the job.

This is retail — so let's be upfront about it:

Yes, some days will be busy. Really busy. You'll be on your feet, the queue will be long, and someone will ask you a question you don't know the answer to yet. But you'll also have a team around you, proper training behind you, and enough variety in the role to keep things interesting.

What you'll be doing:

- Welcoming customers and helping them find exactly what they're looking for

- Keeping the shop floor looking great — tidy, stocked, and easy to navigate

- Processing sales, handling cash and card payments accurately

- Upselling and recommending products where it makes sense (not in a pushy way — in a genuinely helpful way)

- Supporting with deliveries, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising

- Being a reliable, positive presence for both customers and your teammates

- Handling customer queries and the occasional complaint with patience and professionalism

You'll be a great fit if you:

- Are confident, friendly, and comfortable striking up a conversation

- Can stay calm and focused when it gets hectic — and it will get hectic

- Are reliable, punctual, and take pride in doing a good job

- Have some experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing work (not essential — we train the right people)

- Are happy working weekends and flexible with shifts
