Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to a dynamic and safety-conscious environment. The position involves working with a range of tools and machinery, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and perform repairs on machinery and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation
Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during repairs and assembly
Assist with the assembly, installation, and commissioning of new machinery or components
Perform heavy lifting as required to move or position equipment safely
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational issues promptly and professionally

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role with mechanical knowledge of industrial or automotive equipment
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and equipment repair processes
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience in customer service is advantageous but not essential
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable

Pay: £100.00-£140.00 per day
