Full job description

Job Summary

The Quality Governance & Assurance Officer will lead Health Now’s governance, quality assurance and administrative processes across clinical and operational services.

The role will ensure the organisation meets regulatory, contractual and professional requirements, overseeing areas such as incidents, complaints, safeguarding, audits, risk, workforce assurance and compliance.

Working closely with senior leaders and clinical teams, the postholder will provide robust reporting, identify risks and gaps, challenge where necessary, and drive continuous improvement, helping to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care while supporting Health Now’s continued growth.

Responsibilities

Governance & Assurance: Maintain robust governance systems, assurance controls and oversight across the organisation.
Complaints, Incidents, Safeguarding & Risk: Coordinate and monitor processes to ensure issues are managed effectively and lessons are identified.
Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Readiness: Support audits, compliance activity and organisational readiness for regulatory and external scrutiny.
Committees, Reporting & Organisational Intelligence: Coordinate governance meetings, reporting and performance information to support effective decision-making.
Policy, Process & Document Governance: Ensure policies, procedures and key governance documents are maintained, reviewed and appropriately controlled.
Service Mobilisation & Business Support: Provide governance and administrative support for new service mobilisation and wider business activities.
Improvement & Digital Development: Support continuous improvement, digital development and the ongoing maturity of Health Now’s governance framework.
Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve quality, safety, efficiency and patient-centred care across services.

Key Working Relationships

Internal - Head of Clinical Services, directors, Business Manager, clinical and operational leads, lead nurses, care coordinators, medical and consultant workforce, HR, recruitment, compliance, safer staffing, finance, IT and information governance

External - CQC, commissioners, ICBs, CHC teams, NHS trusts, health boards, local authorities, safeguarding and LADO teams, advocates, patients, families and other professional partners

Key Candidate Requirements

Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in governance, quality, assurance or business administration within a regulated environment.
Experience working in healthcare, social care or CQC-regulated services is desirable.
Strong understanding of risk, audits, compliance, action tracking and governance processes.
Able to analyse information, identify gaps and provide clear reports and recommendations.
Confident working with senior stakeholders and constructively challenging where required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders.
Ability to allocate work, support colleagues and maintain high standards.
Advanced Microsoft 365 and digital systems skills.
Highly organised, detail-focused, discreet and solutions-focused.
Passionate about patient safety, quality improvement and continuous improvement.

Pay: £38,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
