Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a clean driving licence, and the ability to manage multiple deliveries within a scheduled timeframe. The position offers an engaging work environment for individuals who enjoy driving and customer interaction.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to complete multiple drops across various locations in a timely manner
Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit
Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery times, and any issues encountered
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving procedures
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; a <PERSON> driver qualification is preferred
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling parcels of various sizes and weights
Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members effectively
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimise delivery schedules

Pay: From £14.50 per hour
