Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to the creation of delicious, high-quality meals for our customers. The Fish Fryer will be responsible for preparing and frying fish according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable dining experience.

Duties

Prepare fresh fish for frying, including cleaning, filleting, and seasoning as required
Cook fish to the specified standards using appropriate frying techniques and equipment
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as needed during busy periods
Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed to minimise waste
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee food quality and safety standards are met
Support team members in delivering excellent service by maintaining a smooth workflow during service hours

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is essential
Experience in meal preparation and kitchen operations will be advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
A genuine interest in culinary arts and customer satisfaction
