Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating articulated flatbed and low-loader vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across various locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and commitment to safety make a real impact.

Responsibilities

Safely operate articulated flatbed and low loader vehicles for the transportation of goods to designated destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Safely operate 8 wheeled crane lorry using hiab to on and off load containers. ( Training and tickets can be provided)
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and ensure punctual arrivals
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues
Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring proper securing of goods during transit
Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays
Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times to promote a secure working environment

Skills

Proven experience as a commercial driver.
Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards applicable to heavy goods vehicles
Excellent driving skills.
Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading and unloading cargo efficiently
Good route planning and time management abilities
Familiarity with delivery driver experience, including customer service interactions when required
Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and troubleshooting
