Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the catering and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation, a keen eye for food safety, and a proactive attitude to assist in various kitchen operations. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to ensure timely service
Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment
Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times
Help with the organisation of ingredients, supplies, and utensils to optimise workflow
Serve food to guests in accordance with established procedures
Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during daily operations
Support in cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances as required

Experience

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is desirable but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is beneficial
Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks will be considered an advantage
Familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple responsibilities efficiently
A genuine interest in food preparation and hospitality will help foster success within this role

This position provides valuable hands-on experience within a professional kitchen setting, offering opportunities for growth and development in the culinary field.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
