Social Events Co-ordinator - Eversfield Care Home

Hourly Rate: £14.00
Contract: Part time / Permanent
Shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 9:30am - 3:30pm

You will have one weekend off each month, during that week your contracted hours will be worked across two weekday shifts - flexability available.

About the Role

We have an amazing opportunity for a creative, passionate and dedicated individual to join our wonderful Care Home team and become part of our Eversfield family.

We are looking to recruit a candidate who is dynamic and very personable to join our Social Events team and to promote the welfare and wellbeing of our residents.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who feels passionate about making a difference to our residents by providing and leading, meaningful activities, stimulation and has the ability to plan and organize events.

As an Social Events Co-ordinator you’ll play a central role in the lives of our residents, leading a variety of activities that foster social connections, promote wellbeing and empower them to live confidently and joyfully. Your creativity and compassion will help create a space where residents are engaged, valued and supported. If you’re passionate about making a real difference through meaningful activities, this role is for you.

Your responsibilities will include

Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in a care setting
Coordinate and facilitate group activities, such as games, crafts, and outings
Provide one-on-one support and companionship to residents who may have limited mobility
Keeping accurate records of activities and resident engagement
Collaborate with the activity coordinator and other staff members to develop new ideas for activities

Qualification and Skills:

Previous experience working in a care or recreational setting is preferred but not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with elderly individuals
Ability to adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of residents with varying levels of physical or cognitive function
