Overview
We are seeking a self-employed gardeners to provide professional gardening and landscape maintenance services. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for horticulture and experience in maintaining diverse outdoor spaces. This role offers flexibility for those with a keen interest in gardening, landscaping, and plant care, allowing you to work independently while delivering high-quality results for clients, please only apply if you have the relevant experience and are working in the trade as we speak, anyone without the relevant experience do not apply

Duties

Utilise hand tools and power tools to prune, trim, and shape plants, shrubs, and trees
Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of gardens and lawns
Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, fertilising, and soil conditioning
Plant new greenery such as flowers, shrubs, and trees according to client specifications
Perform regular inspections of gardens to identify pests or diseases and implement appropriate treatments
Prepare garden beds and organise planting schedules for seasonal displays
Maintain equipment in good working order through routine cleaning and servicing
Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored gardening solutions

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes
Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance
Growing experience with a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
Strong understanding of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance techniques
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects effectively
Excellent organisational skills to plan daily tasks efficiently
Good communication skills to liaise with clients regarding garden care requirements
