Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Event First Responder to provide immediate medical assistance at various events. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering prompt, professional care to individuals in emergency situations, ensuring safety and well-being. This role requires a calm demeanour, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments. The position offers valuable experience in emergency response within a dynamic event setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver immediate first aid and critical care to individuals experiencing medical emergencies during events
Assess patient condition through physical examinations and utilise triage techniques to prioritise care
Administer medications and injections following established protocols, maintaining aseptic technique at all times
Perform patient care procedures using comprehensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy
Conduct basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support when necessary, including airway management and CPR
Maintain clear communication with event organisers, emergency services, and team members to coordinate effective response efforts
Document all interventions accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards
Assist with transportation of patients using appropriate lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when required
Drive emergency response vehicles safely to and from event locations as needed
Uphold strict infection control protocols to prevent contamination during medical procedures
Frec 4 Trained
All position are ad hoc and self employed

Requirements

Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and advanced first aid training
Proven experience in patient care, critical care, or hospital environments is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medication administration, and medical terminology
Experience with injection administration, medication management, and aseptic techniques
Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations and triage effectively under pressure
Prior experience in hospital or emergency response settings preferred
Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely; valid driving licence essential
Physical fitness for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving during events
Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to patient interaction and teamwork
Willingness to work flexible hours at various event locations; ability to respond swiftly in urgent situations

Pay: £13.00 per hour
