Job Description: Regional Manager

Location: Yorkshire Regions & North West

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week, includes occasional evenings and weekends)

We’re currently looking for a Regional Manager to join the team at Highgate Care working across Yorkshire regions and the North West with approx. 6 - 8 homes. If you’re someone who naturally brings warmth, energy and creativity wherever you go, and you love the idea of making each day meaningful for our residents, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Regional Manager, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:

To support the homes when a Manager is absent and provide support to the Directors
Attend local authority meetings/Regional Team Meetings/Safeguarding Meetings as required
Provide on-call/weekend cover as required
Any other duties that the line manager sees appropriate to ensure the smooth running of the homes.
To audit and support all staff to deliver their duties in a timely and effective manner.
To ensure that staffing levels are appropriate/safe to meet the needs of the residents at all times.
To audit and implement and oversee the introduction and reception processes for all new residents.
To audit and ensure the protection of all residents, safeguard and promote their health, welfare and quality of life.
To assist staff in the overseeing of development of a care plan for each resident in consultation with the resident, other relevant professionals and, where appropriate, the resident’s representative or family members.
To audit and ensure the effective implementation and review of all care plans.
To investigate all complaints, carrying out the required action, and reporting to the Director and, where necessary, the Registration Authorities.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

Warm, approachable, and brimming with positivity
Organised, reliable, and confident in leading a team
Creative, enthusiastic, and able to motivate others
Passionate about improving the lives of older people
Nurse Qualification Preferable but not essential
Previous experience in a similar role within Care Homes for Older People both nursing and residential
NVQ Level 5
