Emerging Talent & Training Co-Ordinator
LISI Aerospace | Rugby, CV21 3RQ | £29,439.93 per year | Full-time 12 Month FTC | 37.5 hrs/week | On-site
The opportunity
If you're passionate about opening doors for the next generation, this is a role where you'll genuinely make a difference.
LISI Aerospace is a global leader in high-performance fasteners and assembly components for the aerospace industry. At our Rugby site, we're building something important: a talent pipeline that brings curious, ambitious people into advanced manufacturing, gives them real skills, and sets them up for long careers.
We're looking for an Emerging Talent & Training Co-Ordinator to lead that agenda. You'll be the person who runs our work experience, T-Level placements, internships and virtual outreach programmes, builds relationships with schools and colleges, and helps our existing workforce keep developing too. It's a varied, visible role that sits at the heart of our HR team.
You don't need to meet every criteria listed to apply. If this role excites you and you feel you could bring something valuable to it, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
Building our emerging talent pipeline
- Managing end-to-end placements: work experience, T-Levels, internships and apprenticeships, from application through to offboarding
- Creating structured programmes with clear learning objectives and feedback loops, so every student gets real value from their time with us
- Being the primary point of contact for placement students on site, providing pastoral support and making sure they have a positive experience
- Designing and running a virtual work experience programme to reach students who can't visit us in person
- Representing LISI Aerospace at careers fairs, school and college events, and STEM activities, helping us become an employer of choice for emerging talent
- Actively advocating for our opportunities to reach underrepresented groups and diverse communities, helping to widen access to careers in aerospace and manufacturing
- Building relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and specialist organisations to grow our pipeline
Supporting workforce training and development
- Taking ownership of the Skills Hub, keeping it current, relevant, and genuinely useful
- Supporting the coordination of internal and external training
- Helping to identify skills gaps and align learning solutions to operational needs
- Maintaining training records and systems with accuracy and care
Keeping everything safe and compliant
- Applying safeguarding principles confidently when working with young people on site
- Ensuring placement records meet provider and funding requirements (including T-Level compliance)
- Contributing to a positive health and safety culture at LISI
What we're looking for
We've split this into essential and desirable. Please don't be put off if you don't have everything in the desirable column.
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C / 4 or above), or equivalent qualifications or experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels, from school leavers to senior leaders
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular)
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting them into careers
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record keeping
- A commitment to inclusion and equity in everything you do
Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 (Learning & Development)
- Experience coordinating placements, work experience, or early careers programmes
- Knowledge of T-Level industry placement requirements and funding frameworks
- Safeguarding training or working knowledge of safeguarding policies relating to young people
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience attending or organising careers fairs or employer engagement events

- 37.5-hour working week on day shift (no shifts, no weekends)
