Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Teacher/Lead to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of early childhood educators, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the development of young learners and contribute to their foundational years in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of preschool staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective daily operations
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational activities that promote children’s development across all areas
Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that encourages children’s curiosity and learning
Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and well-being
Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, policies, and procedures
Organise staff rotas, oversee daily routines, and monitor the overall quality of care provided
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through personalised care plans
Contribute to the ongoing professional development of team members through coaching and training sessions

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
Demonstrable management or leadership experience within a childcare environment
Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience working with diverse groups of children and families
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings or events

This role requires applicants to be organised, proactive, and passionate about early childhood education. The successful candidate will possess excellent management skills, be able to lead by example, and have a genuine commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
