Full job description

As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, responsible for food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs. Your culinary experience and strong kitchen skills will ensure that high-quality dishes are consistently produced. You will also adhere to food safety standards while contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment. With opportunities to develop your leadership abilities and gain supervising experience, this role is perfect for those looking to advance their culinary career in a vibrant hospitality setting.

Food Preparation:

Preparing ingredients (chopping, slicing, dicing, etc.).
Assisting with cooking tasks under the guidance of more experienced chefs.
Ensuring ingredients are measured and prepared correctly.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Ensuring adherence to food hygiene and safety standards.
Assisting with stock rotation and inventory control.
Assisting with deliveries and receiving stock.
Setting up workstations and preparing ingredients before service.
Assisting with plating and garnishing dishes.
Learning basic culinary techniques and kitchen procedures.
Developing a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking methods.
Seeking opportunities for training and development.
Assisting with other tasks as directed by the Chef de Partie or Head Chef.
Working as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
