Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled BMW and MINI Technician to join our specialised automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with BMW vehicles, demonstrating proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic assessments using schematics and specialised tools to identify vehicle issues.
- Perform service, repairs and maintenance on BMW models, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks effectively.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out for each vehicle.
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance to ensure workshop tools and machinery are in optimal condition.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Undertake heavy lifting when necessary, adhering to safety guidelines at all times.
- Participate in training programmes to stay updated with the latest BMW technology and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a BMW Technician or similar role within an automotive workshop specialising in luxury vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and engine repairs, timing chains, cylinder head etc is a must.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly components.
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and equipment repair.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for high-performance vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance or Automotive Engineering are preferred.
