With our 3 Rosette, Michelin recommended Seacliff restaurant, or our more family-oriented dining option of the Cove restaurant, and our stunning wedding venue, the expectations and standards we set ourselves are high – can you match them? Alongside with arguably, North Devon’s best wedding venue, our stunning new Spa facilities and 38 en-suite bedrooms, many of which have a beautiful sea view, we’re looking for a team member who will add to the Sandy Cove magic and reflect the 4* status that our guests have rightly come to expect.
Hours: This is a salaried all year round appointment (40hrs pw). We host weddings and events up to 7 days a week in the summer months, the successful candidate will be expected to work 5 days from 7, including most Bank Holidays so a flexible and committed individual is required. You'll be working mainly weekends and some evenings, but not all of as we want you to have a social life too! Let’s talk about how we can make this work for both of us!

Junior Sous Chef
Report to: Head Chef
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual who is an excellent communicator and real people person. Supporting the Head and Sous Chef, ensuring the kitchen brigade delivers quality of service and food in a safe, friendly and legal environment is critical. A powerful knowledge of the food industry, keeping on trend with the latest styles, ingredients and techniques in the trade and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment is all second nature to you; and you can demonstrate this to us!
Being a leader and mentor to the brigade and the wider hotel team shows that customer service is as integral to you as it is to us. Leading by example, your attitude to food quality, care and presentation will shine through as will your approach to kitchen hygiene and management. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and an engaging manor with an ability to implement company standards. We are looking for an individual who has ability to work well in a team but equally confident to work effectively on their own in sometimes high-pressured problem-solving situations.
The applicant will be able to easily demonstrate appropriate examples of their operational experience within high quality kitchen environments. Experience in all areas of kitchen management will be highlighted in your CV and is both desirable and essential!
About You
· Experienced operator and ideally holds a Level 3 Food Hygiene or equivalent as a minimum.

· Strong organisational skills - multi tasking and organising the team to be able to prioritise work effectively.
