Join our multi-award winning team and become part of our family run business which very much has our carers at the heart. We are recruiting for caring and compassionate Homecare Assistants and have branches in Ilkeston, Long Eaton and Ripley.

Whether you are an experienced carer or looking for a career change, all we require is a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will be supporting people in and around Ilkeston & Long Eaton which includes these areas:

Ilkeston, Heanor, West Hallam, Cossall, Trowell, Awsworth, Risley, Breaston, Toton, Sandiacre, Stapleford, Draycott, Sawley, Borrowash, Spondon, Kirk Hallam, Cotmanhay, Stanley, Stanley Village, Mapperley Village and Long Eaton.

Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Please use our separate Sponsorship Switch application forms if you require a visa to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of a Homecare Assistant

Providing care and support to individuals living in their own home to a high standard
Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and getting dressed
Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate times
Administering and organising medication
Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care
Completing visit notes that are detailed, accurate and true.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements and Expectations

Right to work: You must have the legal right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role at present.
No care experience necessary as full training is provided
Full UK driving licence and access to your own car or a UK Driving Licence and access to a Motorbike or Moped
We require all of our team to have full availability on each shift pattern they choose and to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
To practice empathy within the workplace
Team player with good listening skills
Positive attitude towards work and colleagues
Leading through doing and setting good examples out in the community and to each other.

Company benefits and pay

What we currently offer

A choice of full time or part time shift patterns - Permanent contracts with guaranteed hours. We don’t offer zero hour contracts. Instead, we want to ensure all of our care team knows that we can guarantee a minimum number of hours no matter what. In all of these contracts, you can still pick up extra work if you wish to:
Full time rota pattern - 30 minimum guaranteed weekly hours - This would see you working a mix of morning, lunch and tea calls during the week. Including your weekend to work, we would typically require you to work only 3 bed runs each week. On the weekends you work all four shifts, Morning, Lunch, Tea and Bed (7am - 10pm with breaks in between shifts)
Early set shift pattern - 20 minimum guaranteed weekly hours - This would see you working morning and lunch calls (7am-3pm) during the week, plus every other weekend. On the weekends you work all four shifts, Morning, Lunch, Tea and Bed (7am - 10pm with breaks in between shifts)
