Your Role:
To provide full administrative support for the Learning and Development function, across all Ports, including Automotive, ensuring a professional and efficient service is provided for all stakeholders, (internally and externally), with a self-motivated and flexible approach. The main location of the job role will be based in Killingholme Port. However, travel will be required to our Liverpool and Purfleet Ports to support as necessary.Monitor and respond to queries within the Learning and Development email inbox.
Roles Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to queries within the Learning and Development email inbox.
- Maintain the apprenticeship digital account records, monitoring levy spends, creating/pausing records and providing feedback as required.
- Support with apprentice progress reviews for Killingholme, with occasional support for Purfleet and Liverpool Ports, including Automotive.
- Ability to deliver in-house training packages across the business, ensuring training is conducted in a professional, competent and efficient manner.
- Maintain the training room and equipment, supporting employees with any training issues, e.g. logons.
- Create and manage purchase orders and invoices within the relevant systems, regularly communicating with accounts department to resolve queries.
- Create new user requests with IT Department, following up, to ensure accounts are created/amended as required.
- Following requests from Department Managers, ensure sourced training is cost effective and to a professional standard for all Ports, including Automotive.
- Supporting and maintaining CLdN’s Mentoring Programme (internal/external) ensuring all mentors/mentees are fulfilling expectations.
- Support with the recruitment of apprentices/graduates, liaising with HR, sending pre-screening tests and following up where necessary, ensuring an efficient service is provided.
- Regular communication with training providers, ensuring training agreements in place, and a professional, cost-effective service is being received for all training requirements.
- Planning and coordination of careers and job fair events, attending when required and communicating with marketing for merchandise and to promote where required.
- Provide holiday coverage for the L&D Coordinator (South) for any training bookings in progress.
- Development opportunities – Complete Learning and Development Apprenticeship - Level 5.
Your profile:
- Experience and knowledge of apprenticeship standards is desirable.
- High level of secondary education required.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Trustworthy and reliable and able to act with discretion and integrity.
- Flexible when required and necessary.
- A team player but also with ability to work alone and make decisions within the remit of the role.
- A full and valid manual driving licence is required.
- You must be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe.
