Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Administrator to support the efficient and compliant movement of precision-engineered components and systems worldwide. The role involves preparing export documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and coordinating closely with production, customers, and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments via air, sea, and road freight, ensuring timely delivery of engineered products
- Prepare and verify export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and Certificates of Origin
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and export control requirements
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance
- Track shipments end-to-end, providing proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or documentation issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing output
- Support general administrative and logistics-related tasks as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, and international shipping/customs procedures
- Experience coordinating export shipments within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and logistics partners
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with ERP systems
- Familiarity with shipping high-value or technical equipment
- Understanding of compliance requirements for engineered goods or industrial products

Working Hours

Pay: £24,420.00-£31,500.00 per year
