Full job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Erskine Practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a multi-skilled environment, providing vital support to both our patients and clinical teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive, efficient, and effective reception and administrative service, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Practice.

Main Responsibilities

Receive, assist, and direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner.
Provide high-quality reception and administrative support in line with established Practice policies, procedures, and processes.
Respond to telephone, face-to-face, and electronic enquiries promptly and effectively.
Book, amend, and manage patient appointments and home visit requests.
Contact patients on behalf of the clinical team to provide information and support.
Assist patients in accessing Practice services and signpost them to appropriate services within the wider community.
Provide general administrative assistance to the wider Practice team.
Maintain a professional, welcoming, and positive image of the Practice at all times.

About You

You will be a compassionate, friendly, and professional individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to engage confidently with patients, colleagues, and a range of healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent typing and keyboard skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
A good understanding of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
A professional and approachable manner, providing a warm welcome to all patients and visitors.
A commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care and customer service.

We are looking for someone who takes a professional and friendly approach to their work and enjoys helping patients access the services they need.
