Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for hospitality and cleanliness. Prior experience in janitorial or hotel environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, communal areas, and service spaces in accordance with established standards
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as required
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness
Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linen stock
Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks including deep cleans or specialised sanitisation processes
Support the team with additional duties as needed to ensure smooth operations

Skills

Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is desirable
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues
Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision
Basic cooking skills are considered a plus but are not essential
Customer service skills to assist guests politely and professionally
Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and workload demands
