About Us

Barra Castle is a truly unique destination set in the stunning Scottish countryside near Inverurie. Lovingly restored by the Stephen family, the castle and grounds are now at the heart of a thriving family business and provide the perfect backdrop for life’s special occasions.

Our Farmshop offers a carefully selected range of local artisan produce, alongside our famous berries, and also operates as a busy café seven days a week.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Farmshop Manager to lead our team and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

If you are calm under pressure, highly organised, customer-focused, and enjoy motivating a team, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Farmshop
Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver excellent customer service
Ensure staff productivity and maintain high operational standards
Monitor efficiency across all processes and identify improvements
Manage stock, ordering and general business organisation
Create a positive, friendly and productive working environment
Meet regularly with senior management to discuss business updates, challenges and opportunities
Help drive the business forward and achieve key goals

About You

Previous hospitality management experience is essential
Strong leadership and communication skills
Friendly, positive and adaptable attitude
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Passion for customer service and team development
Able to commute to or relocate to Inverurie AB51 0BB

Requirements

Experience: Hospitality management – minimum 1 year (required)
Work Location: In person
