Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a personable and energetic Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring the bar area maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. The successful applicant will be an organised individual with excellent time management skills, capable of working efficiently during busy periods.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of drinks
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Ensure compliance with food safety and responsible serving regulations at all times
Manage cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in serving or bartending roles, is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Personable demeanour with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
