We're looking for an ambitious, driven, and experienced Sales Manager to lead the sales operation at our newly invested dealership in Bolton.

This is an opportunity to join the family-owned Drayton Motors Group and play a key role in shaping the future success of one of our most exciting locations. Representing Peugeot, BYD, and our long-established Vauxhall franchise, you'll be at the forefront of a business undergoing significant growth and transformation.

With BYD emerging as one of the fastest-growing and most talked-about electric vehicle brands in the market, there has never been a more exciting time to join us.

As Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving performance, developing a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring the dealership becomes a destination of choice for both new and used vehicle customers.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the performance and profitability of the sales department, leading by example and creating a culture of accountability, energy, and success.

Key Responsibilities

Drive departmental sales performance and profitability across new and used vehicles
Achieve and exceed manufacturer, financial, and operational targets
Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
Monitor and improve enquiry management, sales processes, and conversion rates
Maximise sales of finance, insurance, warranty, and value-added products
Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and manufacturer standards
Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction and retention
Maintain outstanding showroom standards and operational excellence
Build strong relationships with manufacturer partners and key stakeholders
Support recruitment, succession planning, and ongoing team development

About You

We're looking for a proven leader who combines commercial awareness with a passion for people and customer service.

You will have:

A successful track record in automotive sales management within a franchised dealership environment
Strong leadership and team development skills
A target-driven mindset with a focus on profitability and performance
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Strong organisational and planning skills
Confidence using CRM systems, reporting tools, and digital sales platforms
The flexibility and commitment required to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
