About the role

Are you ready to take the lead in a role where your judgement, credibility and attention to detail shape how governance works at the heart of Manx Care?

As Head of Administration (Governance), you will lead the governance administration and corporate secretariat function, taking operational control of Board, Committee and Executive governance processes. You will oversee the full governance cycle, from business planning, agendas, reports, formal records, through to resolutions, statutory reporting, parliamentary responses and information handling. At the centre of the organisation’s governance framework, you will apply procedural standards, enforce documentation quality and ensure governance activity remains accurate, compliant and robust under audit, regulatory inspection and parliamentary scrutiny.

This role gives you the opportunity to use your governance expertise in a senior leadership position where your decisions directly protect organisational confidence and reputation. You will bring your skills in procedural control, professional judgement, quality assurance and stakeholder management into a complex and politically sensitive environment, while leading a team and driving high standards across governance operations. Working with senior leaders, Board members and external stakeholders, you will use your experience to strengthen decision making, improve governance systems and deliver work that is visible and influential in the effective running of the organisation.
