About the Role
To provide administrative and systems support to the Technical Department, ensuring technical documentation, specifications, records, customer systems, and compliance information are accurately maintained and controlled.
The role will support the smooth operation of the Technical function by managing data, documentation, reports, and customer information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation & Systems
- Maintain and control technical documentation and records.
- Manage specification updates and document version control.
- Support retailer and customer specification systems.
- Ensure technical databases and files are accurately maintained.
- Upload and manage technical documentation on customer portals.
Reporting & Administration
- Compile technical reports and KPI information.
- Maintain complaint logs and trend analysis spreadsheets.
- Support non-conformance and corrective action administration.
- Assist with audit preparation documentation.
- Maintain training records and technical compliance files.
Customer & Supplier Support
- Support responses to customer technical queries.
- Maintain supplier documentation and approvals.
- Assist with gathering information for customer requests.
- Support artwork and specification administration where required.
General Support
- Provide administrative support to the Technical and QA teams.
- Support traceability exercises and mock recalls.
- Assist with meeting preparation and minute taking.
- Ensure filing systems remain organised and audit-ready.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who has:
Essential
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills.
- Own transport as we are located rurally with no transport links
Desirable
- Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Experience working within Technical, QA, or Compliance administration.
- Knowledge of customer specification systems.
- Understanding of food safety and quality documentation.

Location & Hours
Our main office is based in Shropham, Norfolk.
This position is Full-time, 5 Days Per Week 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday (42.5 Hours per week)
Flexibility required, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Pay
Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
