Full job description

Job Title: Multi Task Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience.

Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week.

5 days out of 7.

Typically 8:30am to 4:30pm, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of the business.

Weekend cover on a rota basis, typically working 1 Saturday in 3.

Location:

Multi-site, covering 3 central London properties.

The role / responsibilities:

Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager it will be your responsibility to ensure that all daily proactive and reactive maintenance tasks and repairs are carried out in a timely manner, in line with the brand’s standard’s, with the minimum disruptions to our business and most importantly our guests.

Applicants should have a friendly, adaptable approach and be able to work as part of a team but equally be competent to take on a task and see it through to completion when working alone.

You will contribute to the day-to-day maintenance and decoration of hotel bedrooms and bathrooms, public areas, gardens, exteriors and back-of-house areas.

Complete PPM in accordance with hotel operating procedures.

The eccentric styling of these Georgian properties often requires a creative approach to the task in hand. You should have a passion for period buildings and the experience to overcome the unique challenges that they present. Experience working in buildings of a similar age and grandeur is essential.

Skills:

We are looking for a multi-task engineer with a proven skill base, enabling them to carry out a diverse range of tasks to ensure the upkeep of our Georgian properties. This would include painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrics, general repairs and decoration, in addition to daily-weekly-monthly PPMs monitoring and inspections.

As part of the selection process you will need to demonstrate;

Excellent communication and the ability to work with colleagues in all areas of the hotel.
Competency in plumbing.
Competency in general repairs.
Competency in painting / decorating and finishes.
The ability to maintain maintenance records.
A basic knowledge of electrical installations and safe working practices.
Skill in fault finding and delivering effective short term and permanent solutions.
A keen eye for detail. You must be passionate about the finish.
