Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join our team. This role involves ensuring the safety and compliance of water systems across various sites, with a focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be physically capable of working in diverse environments, and possess a proactive approach to health and safety protocols. This position offers valuable experience in the water treatment and hygiene industry, contributing to public health and safety.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of water systems, including tanks, cooling towers, and pipework.
Perform disinfection procedures using appropriate chemicals and methods to prevent bacterial growth such as Legionella.
Ensuring that SLAs and KSIs are achieved
Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively during maintenance activities.
Document all work carried out accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist with system flushing, sampling, and testing to ensure water quality standards are met.
Identify potential hazards or faults within water systems and report findings promptly to supervisors.
Support installation projects by preparing sites, assembling components, and ensuring adherence to technical specifications.

Experience

Previous experience in water hygiene, plumbing, or related construction roles is preferred
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to water treatment or environmental services is preferred.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting equipment and working in confined or elevated spaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills within the water hygiene sector while contributing to vital public health initiatives.

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
