Full job description

Bell Building Projects (BBP) is a well-established construction company with decades of experience delivering high-quality projects across the UK. We’re proud of our strong pipeline of work, which gives our teams long-term job security and the opportunity to grow with the business.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our operational team. The role is full-time, permanent, and based on-site, with travel to various locations as required. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects meet the highest quality and compliance standards, with a particular focus on cladding remediation, industrial new-builds, and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and workmanship, identifying and addressing quality issues.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to establish and maintain quality objectives.
Provide guidance and training to teams on quality assurance best practices.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality concerns, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports and compliance certificates.
Monitor and track quality performance metrics, analysing data to drive continuous improvement.
Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in quality assurance.

Requirements & Skills

Full UK driving licence (essential).
Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Golden Thread of Information requirements (essential).
Ability to configure and tailor quality assurance systems to BBP’s requirements, ensuring high-quality documentation and instructing others in its correct use (Procore training will be provided).
Experience in construction quality assurance or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and compliance regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing QA programmes.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant certifications in quality management (desirable).
