Company Overview:
Since its inception in 1983, General Traffic has become a leading provider of automotive spares in the North West and the Midlands. As a family-owned business, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Casual Driver / Warehouse Operative to support our operations by transporting and delivering goods between our branches. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, effective communication abilities and a strong commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

To transport and deliver goods between branches as directed.
Cover staff absences and holidays with hours each week if required.
Check the transfer invoices to ensure all parts are for the correct branch
Keep to the run timetable.
On arrival at the branches, make sure all stock is removed from the van.
On return to the branch, place any returns from branches in the correct areas.
Warehouse duties will include checking supplier deliveries, locating stock in the warehouse, picking stock for other branches and for customer dispatch, checking customer returns and completing daily stock takes.

Qualifications:

Valid driving licence.
Excellent driving skills proven through experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
Familiarity with the geographical area of Newcastle and surrounding regions.
Ability to work flexible hours, including Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays, as required.
