Full job description

The Beal Group of companies is a family run business, focused on supplying commercial textiles into the agriculture, modular building, transport, logistic and oil & gas sectors as well as several other sectors including construction, air-motive, automotive, graphic advertising, defence, and leisure.

Due to Company growth, we are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team, based in our Cumbernauld premises.

Responsibilities including:

Processing purchase/sales invoices
Dealing with supplier queries both email and telephone
Liaising with the sales team to deal with customer queries.
Statement reconciliations
Daily bank reconciliations
Nominal ledger- posting bank transactions, intercompany and other nominal ledger journals
Weekly and monthly payroll input (starters, leavers, timesheets , adjustments and reconciliations)
Handling payroll queries and supporting employees
Payroll journals and related analysis and reporting
Petty cash and credit card postings
Holiday cover and ad-hoc duties as part of a busy Finance Team
Assisting the Finance Team achieve overall objectives

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

Ability to manage own workload, maintain accuracy, meet strict deadlines, even if under pressure, and work as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of accounting systems essential and of Sage advantageous
Ability to confidently navigate MS Office programs, including outlook and excel
End to end payroll process and payment experience advantageous but not essential
Good knowledge and experience of statutory payments (eg SSP, SMP, SPP)
