Full job description

NPS Engineering Group is a family-owned manufacturing business, founded in 1987. NPSEG has established itself as a market leader in chemical dosing, booster systems, GRP and Fabrication projects. Based in Bradford over two manufacturing sites, NPSEG employs over 85 people and is committed to quality manufacturing. A full solution is provided, from design through to commissioning.

Due to growth, we now have an opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team.

What we can offer you:

Early start, early finishes, a 7.30am start and a 4pm finish Monday – Thursday with a 3pm Friday finish
Quarterly events in working hours
Christmas closure

Commitment to training and development

A bit about what you’ll be doing:

Ensure SOPs and procedures are adhered to
Read, interpret and guide the team on electrical drawings
Prepare reports and documentation
Maintain schedules
Be present and oversee overtime
Conduct return to works, probations and appraisals for team members
Participate in employee relation activities as requested
Quality check and sign off their teams’ work and dead testing
Attend weekly production meetings
Assign work to team members
NICEIC for team members
Daily, weekly & monthly health and safety workshop walkrounds / checks, feeding back to the Foreman as required
Ensure all team members are wearing appropriate PPE for the task
Ensure team members are punctual for work, breaks and finish
Identify training requirements and raise to relevant person
Assist QHSE Manager on toolbox talks
Return red pen drawings to the Design team

What we are looking for:

Proven working experience as a lead electrician
Excellent understanding of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Fully qualified 18th Edition
Decision making ability and leadership skills
Time management and organisation skills
NICEIC knowledge / qualifications
