About Us

M & M Yorkshire Stone Products is a well-established quarry and stone products business supplying high-quality natural stone and aggregate products to customers across Yorkshire and beyond. We pride ourselves on quality, reliability, and building long-term relationships with our customers. We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Commercial Manager to help grow our business and strengthen our market position.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the commercial performance of the business, developing new business opportunities, maintaining key customer relationships, and ensuring profitable sales growth across our quarry products and services.

Working closely with the Directors and operational team, you will play a key role in developing commercial strategies, negotiating contracts, managing customer accounts, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business growth.
Identify and secure new business opportunities across construction, landscaping, civil engineering, and merchant sectors.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts through excellent relationship management.
Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and secure profitable contracts.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand.
Work closely with quarry operations to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
Manage commercial performance against budgets and sales targets.
Produce regular sales forecasts and commercial reports for Directors.
Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, networking events, and industry exhibitions where required.
Ensure commercial activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in a Commercial Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or similar commercial leadership role.
Experience within the quarrying, aggregates, construction materials, natural stone, or related industries is highly desirable.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
A track record of delivering sales growth and improving profitability.
Strong organisational and analytical skills.
Confidence managing multiple projects and priorities.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
A full UK driving licence.
