Full job description

Purchasing Administrator

We are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Administrator to join our growing plumbing business based in Cirencester. We work solely for new build developers such as Bellway Homes, David Wilson Homes, Bloor Homes, Crest & Wainhomes.

If you’re looking to work in a busy, varied position that involves placing orders and problem solving then look no further.

Duties and responsibilities

Raising and processing Purchase Orders.
Communicating with supplier and plumbers to resolve missing/wrong items/clarification of parts required.
Updating internal system to reflect orders placed.
Comply with all company and HSE policies and procedures.
Answering and making telephone calls.
Perform clerical tasks in an accurate and timely fashion.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

The Candidate

The right candidate will possess:

Purchasing experience is desirable but not essential.
Administrative experience preferred.
Good IT skills, Inc. Excel, Word and Outlook experience preferred.
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Enjoy problem solving and find effective solutions.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Capacity and willingness to learn.

The Package
In return we offer:

Hours 8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am – 4pm Friday (with 1/2 hr lunch). (41½ hrs pw).
Salary dependant on age and experience.
Training.
Free parking (on a first come/first served basis).
Company Pension Scheme (age applicable)
20 days holiday + statutory holidays
