Full job description

Full Time Chef required for Levens Kitchen, Levens Hall

Permanent Position
Day time only
No split shifts
True work/life balance

Levens Kitchen are currently looking for a Chef to join our brilliant and expanding catering team, on either a full time or part time basis

Levens Kitchen opened in March 2019 serving bistro/high-end café food and has already proved a huge success. The business offers brunch & lunch service along with drinks, cakes and takeaway throughout the day. Due to increasing demand we have now expanded our catering provision with a new bakery which opened in July 2023 . The bakery provides cakes and bread for takeaway and for sale within the restaurant.

The selected candidate will work with Estate staff and the Head Chef to make best use of the Estate's resources throughout the menu.

Candidate specification:

Assist with all hot and cold food preparation working with more senior chefs where appropriate
Measure dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
Assist with deliveries and stock rotation
Have a willingness to learn with a positive attitude
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
Work in an efficient and orderly manner
Help organise and maintain work areas, coolers and storage areas
Hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate

All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. We will require evidence of the candidates eligibility as part of the recruitment process.

Pay: From £29,450.00 per year
