Staff Training & Development Coordinator

Location: Lancaster (Brock Street)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm and participation in on-call rota
Salary: £29,000

Join Westmorland Homecare Lancaster as we expand our Training and Development team and help shape the future of high-quality homecare in our community.

About the Role

You’ll work alongside one of our experienced Trainers to support, inspire and develop our fantastic team of Homecare Assistants. This is a hands-on role where your work directly improves the quality of care and empowers others to reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering engaging induction and clinical training (Care Certificate, Medication, Moving & Handling)
Mentoring and supporting new starters through their onboarding period
Creating and delivering ongoing continuing professional development programmes
Auditing medication processes and maintaining accurate training records
Promoting NVQ/QCF opportunities and professional development across the team
Conducting appraisals and risk assessments
Play a part in our shared on-call rota, which is rotated fairly across the team and scheduled to support a healthy work–life balance.

A full UK driving licence is essential. Experience as a District Nurse, NHS Practitioner or Care Trainer is desirable but not essential.
