Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where attention to detail and compassionate communication are highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen interest in healthcare administration.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling to optimise clinic flow.
Answer incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct messages efficiently.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information within the practice management system.
Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including handling payments where applicable.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and data entry.
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Support the clinical team with administrative duties as required to facilitate smooth operations.

Skills

Proven office experience with strong organisational skills.
Previous administrative experience within a healthcare setting is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly demeanour.
Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
Professional attitude with a high level of discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently when needed.
