Role Purpose
The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for supporting The Steamhouse's recruitment activity across all locations, helping to attract, engage, and onboard great people who align with our culture and values.
This is a flexible, semi-remote role suited to an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working independently while building strong relationships with managers across the business. The role requires ownership of the recruitment process from vacancy advertising through to candidate communication and onboarding support.
The successful candidate will be comfortable using recruitment platforms, particularly Indeed, and will provide regular recruitment reporting and insights to the Head of Operations and Co-Founder.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment Management
- Manage recruitment activity across all Steamhouse locations.
- Create, post, and maintain job advertisements on recruitment platforms, including Indeed.
- Screen applications and shortlist candidates against role requirements.
- Conduct initial candidate conversations where appropriate.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain an active pipeline of candidates for key operational roles.
- Liaise with the Ops Team to arrange and carry out trial shifts for senior roles.
Recruitment Systems & Administration
- Manage applicant tracking and recruitment records.
- Ensure candidate information is accurate, organised, and GDPR compliant.
- Monitor recruitment inboxes and respond to candidate enquiries promptly.
- Support the preparation and issuing of recruitment related documentation.
Indeed & Recruitment Platform Management
- Manage and optimise Indeed campaigns to maximise application quality and value.
- Liaise with Marketing Manager to create posts to maximise recruitment through socials and company website.
- Monitor job performance and recommend improvements to attract suitable candidates.
- Utilise Indeed reporting and analytics to identify trends and recruitment opportunities.
- Maintain employer branding across recruitment platforms.
- Take ownership of Indeed advertising spend, regularly reviewing performance and adjust campaigns to maximise hiring results while controlling recruitment costs.
Reporting & Business Support
- Produce weekly and monthly recruitment reports for the Head of Operations and Co-Founders.
- Track key recruitment metrics including applications, interviews, hires, time-to-fill, and advertising performance.
- Identify recruitment challenges and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support workforce planning discussions by providing recruitment insights and data.
Stakeholder Communication
- Build strong relationships with managers across all locations.
- Act as a key point of contact for recruitment queries.
- Maintain regular communication with hiring managers regarding vacancies and candidate progress.
- Support managers in identifying recruitment needs and hiring priorities.
Travel & Site Support
- Visit Steamhouse locations across the Midlands when required.
- Attend recruitment events, interviews, onboarding sessions, and team meetings as necessary.
- Develop a strong understanding of each location's culture, team structure, and staffing requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
- Stay informed on recruitment best practice and market trends.
- Contribute ideas to strengthen talent attraction and employer branding initiatives.

- Demonstrates excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR administration experience.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience using Indeed and other online recruitment platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands.
Desirable
- Experience recruiting within hospitality, retail, food production, or multi-site operations.
- Understanding of recruitment metrics and workforce planning.
- Experience supporting onboarding processes.

Flexibility
This role is contracted at 16 hours per week and offers flexibility in how hours are worked across the week, subject to business needs. Occasional travel to Steamhouse locations across the Midlands will be required.
Must be available on a Monday and Friday for a weekly catch up and debrief with Head of Ops or Founders.
