Full job description

We own and operate several boutique hotels and apartments across the North Lakes, we are looking for house-keeping / hosts in Keswick and Penrith - part time and flexible hours available.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is highly desirable, as is familiarity with janitorial duties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities according to established standards
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as required
Ensure all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are kept clean and free of dust or debris
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and organise storage areas efficiently
Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Assist with laundry duties when necessary, including sorting, washing, and folding linen or uniforms
Adhere to organisational policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial roles is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
A positive attitude and professional demeanour at all times
