Bowling Green Road Municipal Offices

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Security Officer to join the 1st Reaction Security Ltd Manned Guarding Team based at Bowling Green Road Municipal Offices.

This is a customer-facing role where you will play an important part in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors and members of the public. We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, confident and able to remain calm under pressure.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

08:00 – 17:00

No weekends or night shifts.

Pay & Benefits

£15.25 per hour
Paid rest breaks
Up to 28 days' annual leave (increasing with length of service)

The Role

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment whilst delivering an exceptional level of customer service. You will act as the first point of contact for visitors and employees, representing both the client and 1st Reaction Security Ltd in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist members of the public, visitors and employees.
Provide a safe and secure environment for all persons on site.
Monitor and control access to the premises.
Prevent and deter anti-social behaviour and unauthorised access.
Carry out regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas.
Respond to incidents, emergencies and welfare concerns.
Act as a professional and visible security presence at all times.
Produce accurate incident reports and maintain site records.
Liaise with the client, emergency services and the 1st Reaction Control Room when required.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional image.

Essential Requirements

Valid Frontline SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
Valid First Aid at Work Certificate.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills.
Good administration and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional, reliable and well presented.
