Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Event Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of a variety of events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and experience in hospitality or related sectors such as restaurants or hotels. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create memorable experiences for clients while demonstrating exceptional guest services and fundraising capabilities. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all aspects of event logistics, ensuring seamless delivery from inception to completion, and maximising revenue through upselling techniques.

Duties

Coordinate all event details, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and décor arrangements.
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring all costs are within agreed parameters.
Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during the planning process and event execution.
Oversee on-the-day event operations, ensuring smooth flow and guest satisfaction.
Develop detailed timelines and schedules to ensure timely delivery of all event components.
Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
Handle guest services during events, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain organised records of event details, budgets, and feedback for future improvement.
Assist in fundraising activities related to events, fostering community engagement and support.

Qualifications

Proven experience in event coordination, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel management.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour.
Ability to utilise upselling techniques effectively to enhance revenue streams.
Good time management skills with the capacity to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
Experience in guest services and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Knowledge of fundraising strategies is desirable but not essential.
Proficiency in organisational tools such as scheduling software or project management platforms is advantageous.

Pay: From £18,000.00 per year
